New Discoveries: Brandy Melville

Hello everyone!

Brandy Melville is a growing brand- It seems like more and more people know of it as the day goes on! But for those of you who haven't heard of Brandy, no worries, I am here to help you out. Brandy Melville is the epitome of my style. I could only shop at brandy for the rest of my life and be totally happy. Well- up until a certain age I guess because it would be a little strange to see an 80 year old woman dressed like this (:

The clothes are actually really reasonably priced- only the knits are a little more expensive, but they're made well and super soft. Also, they're pretty much what Brandy is known for. I've picked a few pieces off of their website to show you guys, but if none of it is your taste, no worries, Brandy Melville has so many other pieces to choose from!

The Brandy models always look like they're having so much fun... they aren't your typical models, their poses are different and they are all beautiful and the clothes look amazing on them.

Brandy Melville has become one of my favorite stores. The only bad thing about Brandy is that their shipping is expensive and takes a while to get to its destination; so its totally worth it to buy $50 worth of clothing and get the free shipping. The good news is Brandy does have actual store locations, the bad news is the only locations in the US are in New York and California. They are expanding and have stores in Canada and in Europe, but I'm hoping they bring one near me!

To everyone who didn't know about Brandy Melville: I hope you enjoyed what you saw and look forward to shopping there in the future!

See you guys later!
xoxo,
Melissa

Obsession Confession: OXBLOOD!!

Hi my lovelies!

I'm sure you've all seen this new trend- oxblood is everywhere! It's become one of my favorite colors, and thats saying a lot, considering I usually only buy neutrals! I know, I know, this isn't even a totally out-of-the-neutral-zone color, but it is way more color than I usually wear, so I'm giving myself major points for wearing something other than black.

Here are some pictures from pinterest and various other places for some ideas on how to wear oxblood. In my opinion... there isn't really a wrong way to wear it... oxblood is always right!!!

Just to start off simple, try using oxblood as an accent color. This bralette is perfect, worn under a sheer shirt or a low cut shirt so the oxblood peeks out.
A beanie is another perfect way to add a splash of oxblood, and since its a hat, you have the choice all day whether or not you want to wear it! Perfect for someone who isn't sure about the trend, but sort of kind of know they want to try it out really badly (:
The oxblood lip is definitely more daring, which qualifies this as my favorite way to wear oxblood, as it makes my completely neutral outfits come together so effortlessly.

The "leather" oxblood legging- a close second favorite way to wear this color. I found a pair at forever 21 for only $12.50! They're great, and you'll get asked questions about them all day(:

OXBLOOD SWEATERS! I feel like this one is self explanatory... who wouldn't be excited about this?!

Oxblood comes in lingerie too?! Perfect for the girl who doesn't admit to liking trends... but we all know she'll love this one. It will be our little secret that you're being trendy (;

LOVE LOVE LOVED seeing this walk down the runway. Paired with leather leggings... can I haaaave?

I have one word for this- Perfection.

Oxblood spotting!!
Blake Lively rocked this outfit and looks fantastic in the deep red.

What do you guys think about oxblood? As you can tell I am IN LOVE with it!! Almost a little too much... I need "addicted to oxblood anonymous"... That sounds really gross.. you know what I mean!!

Alright, talk to you guys soon!

Melissa

Stay Tuned!

Hi my lovelies!

I know- its been a while! I have been so busy with school and work and dance and art projects its crazy! But I am definitely going to have pictures or a video up today or tomorrow as I should be recieving my new Jeffrey Campbell Black Spike Litas and Black Tardys!!!! Eeeeeeeeppp I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself!

Also, I have multiple outfits of the day filmed, and I just need a few more until I can put them all together for another OOTW video for you guys!

Lately I've been super into making jewelry from chain- handpieces, headpieces, that sorta stuff. So maybe some pictures of those too?

OH! My new obsession- OXBLOOD! When I say obsession... I mean obsession. I've come to terms with myself that I only buys neutrals and oxblood... Its a problem.

As you can tell I have many things planned out but lets see how they go! Again, I apologize for not posting on here very regularly, but look out for all these things I mentioned (:

Herro Everybody!
Long time no see! I haven't posted since April, but hopefully this can become more of a regular thing. In case you are wondering what has kept me so busy, say hello to my creation and kind-of-still-new etsy store!

I have been selling these bracelets since mid May, and orders just keep pouring in! They come in a bunch of different colors and I have a few different bead colors as well.

I also have been super busy with college stuff. Visiting colleges, writing admissions papers, everything is so stressful! Put a new job and regular school on top of all this and you have the mess called my mind. But the college stuff is also super exciting, and I already think I found the one for me... They are one of the only schools to allow me to major in fashion design and also minor in fashion merchandising! And get this- they already want me for their school! Like lemme tell ya soooo exciting! But I am still off to New York tomorrow to visit a school in the city so I'll let you know how that goes!

Like I said this will hopefully become more of a regular thing, so I will talk to you soon! (we can hope, right?)

xoxo,
Melissa

Blue Zig-Zag Doodle Nails!

Polishes used: (From left to right) China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat, China Glaze Sunset Sail, E.L.F. Chocolate, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color Black Out, O.P.I. Whats With the Cattitude, and Kiss Nail Art Paint in White.

When I put designs on my nails, I use a really small paintbrush I got from a craft store. It gives really precise lines and more control. I tend to mix a lot of polishes and detail a lot, so i cut a square of poster board to mix on that and it works really well! As you can see in the pictures, the poster board gets great use.

After putting on the base coat, I used "Whats With the Cattitude?" on my whole nail, then mixed the white, brown and tannish pinkish color together, made the little half moons on the bottom of my nails. After that, I rimmed and detailed the half moons, and then took the black and did the zig-zag pattern. Finally, I drew the solid white line across the whole nail, and ta-da! They're finished!

I love how they turned out, but I can't wait to paint them again! Oh the problems of a nail polish fanatic.
